Boys soccer: Ann Arbor Greenhills eliminates Burton Genesee Christian 1-0 in MHSAA boys soccer semifinal on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018.

   Defending Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 4 boys soccer champion Ann Arbor Greenhills fought off No. 4-ranked Burton Genesee Christian 1-0 in a hard-fought semifinal matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Troy Athens.

   Greenhills returns to defend its Division 4 title against No. 2 Leland on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Comstock Park at noon.

   Against Genesee Christian, Greenhills senior Zachary Zimmerman scored the game-winner at the 32-minute mark on a cross from senior Neil Bazaj. Senior Leo Fried earned the shutout in goal, his fourth in the playoffs.

   Greenhills beat No. 6 Adrian Lenawee Christian 2-1 in a shootout to win the Region 14 championship on Thursday, Oct. 25.

   Leland earned its first trip to the finals with a 3-2 win over No. 3-ranked Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Preparatory in the other Division 4 semifinal on Wednesday.
